Commercial Pilot License Course (The second big step)
Before registering for the CPL course the applicant must meet or agree to meet prior to completion the following requirements:
A valid Private Pilot License in Canada. (Foreign PPL License issued by an ICAO country is covertible to a Canadian License, check details with Transport Canada Civil Aviation Licensing department. ) A personal interview with the school administrator prior to acceptance. High school graduates or holders of a Grade 12 high school equivalency certificate 18 years of min. age before completing the course (May start earlier than age 18) Submit a registration/application form indicating source of funding for cost of the course and related expenses.(family, student loan, self.) Class 1 Medical clearance by an approved physician is required before completion date of this course.
Our Commercial Pilot License course includes budget for flight and ground training to meet base requirements set by Transport Canada Civil Aviation. The required supervised ground school set by Transport Canada for the Commercial Pilot License course is 80 hours incl. all ground briefings and dual flight training with certified instructors plus solo practice requirement is 65 hours in total. The Commercial Pilot License course teaches an advanced version of the topics covered in Private Pilot License course along with an additional section regarding licensing requirements. Approximate duration for the CPL Course (after the PPL is issued) is about 4 months for full time students. To avoid complications, all foreign students must get a visa for a duration longer than six months. Our academy is a registered member No. 3539 with Private Career Training Institution Agency of British Columbia commonly known as PCTIA. This Career building Commercial Course is budgeted at $19,065 incl. tuition fees of $2,325 + Aircraft Rental & other fees $15,990.

Following are the costs for Aircraft rental, additional time building, materials and services in addition to the above chart of tut ion fees based on Transport Canada minimum hours. These figures are a reasonable budget based on industry wide averages. Actual cost may vary for each student.

Cost shown above is based on the Canadian Average of all successful students. Student has the option to utilize any money saved from the above hours/charges can be credited to other related courses or contracts. Aircraft used for above chart of costs is Cessna 150/152 or equivalent. Subject to availably the Student shall have the option to upgrade for the general cost difference at the time. Please also note that bylaws and regulations of the Private Career Training Institute Agency (PCTIA) relate only to the tuition fees starting from the Commercial Pilot License and beyond;
